Donald Lee “Don” Pferdehirt of Spring, TX, has served as the head of global technical support for methylene diphenyl diiscocyanate (MDI) operations for the Bayer Corporation since 2005. Mr. Pferdehirt accepted the position after working with the company for more than 20 years and holding a series of increasingly responsible roles, each of which he approached with a proactive commitment to growth and an ability to obtain results through leadership. Effective in driving more than $11 million per year in process optimizations, Don Pferdehirt also facilitated a 15 percent reduction in manufacturing costs for a savings of $15.5 million per year.

Over the course of his career with Bayer, Donald Lee Pferdehirt has received 10 Quality Excellence Awards as well as a Gold Award. He stands out as a three-time finalist for the company's President's Achievement Gold Award, and in 2000, he received its inaugural Corporate Energy Savings Trophy, which recognized his work in reducing energy costs in the work site.

Don Pferdehirt holds a master of business administration from the University of Houston, having previously received a master of science and a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He maintains a functional command of both Turkish and German, the latter of which he has used as part of Bayer's Germany team.
